THE 2023 WMA FALL CONFERENCE

“Alternative or Mainstream:

Modern Mediation and WMA at 40 Years”

The 2023 WMA Fall Conference is just around the corner.  Join us on Thursday, October 12, 2023 for our one-day 8:30 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. (PDT) conference. At the end of the day, you can stay on and enjoy a virtual BYOB social half-hour with your fellow attendees. Our Zoom format allows you to participate from the comfort of your home, your office or from anywhere in the world.

At this year’s conference, we will gain perspective about our industry by looking at our 40 years of northwest history with Sue Ann Allen, getting insight about exciting methods like healing circles and restorative justice programs being mainstreamed by practitioners Sue Miglino and John Rossi, and peering into the future with Schuyler Peters and Joseph Burdine. What better way to stay on top of hot topics in the mediation field while enjoying the company of your fellow mediators.

The afternoon “unconference” allows us to dive deeper into our morning topics, exchange ideas with panelists about what has and has not changed about our industry and discuss with our peers our vison of making mediation the first line method for resolving individual and community conflicts in the Pacific Northwest.

WMA is applying for approval of at least 5 CLE credits from the Washington State Bar Association.  Attendance at the Conference can also be applied to support your WMA certification or re-certification application.

Registration tickets will be available online on our website shortly.  The cost is $95 for WMA members and $125 for non-members.  Dispute Resolution Centers, non-profit organizations, and government entities who purchase three or more registration tickets at the same time can purchase tickets at the WMA member rate.  The cost for full-time students who show full-time status at recognized public and private institutions of learning is $35.

This is the Best Conference You Can Imagine!
