Mentoring is considered an area of specialization. Please reference the WMA Member Mediator Certification Application for information regarding Areas of Specialization.
“Beginning October 10th, 2014, the WMA will be phasing out Areas of Specialization. This means that all Areas of Specialization that you claim, whether new or existing, will be terminated within 12 months. Within the 12 months, and as soon as possible, these Areas of Specialization will be replaced by a system that will allow mediators to describe their practice in searchable terms the public can use to find the mediator they need. At that time, the WMA will no longer accept original or renewing applications for Areas of Specialization designation, and will be eliminating ones that are existing.”
